Is the minekaze still a competitive destroyer?

the minekaze used to be a beast of a destroyer, i loved her. however she's been nerfed pretty brutally over the years and now she has pretty poor performing torpedos.

i take her out regardless on the new dawn map.
early on there is a little foray with 2 enemy destroyers which ends with us killing them and me capturing b.
i defend b from an approaching orion who drives straight into a number of my torps
i then move north to a to capture i spot and destroy a third destroyer before finishing a kuma on 34hp
the orion who was defending a moves to b and i pursuit with the help of another orion.

some bants kick off in chat which is fun to read through as i try to defend

i secure b once again to stop us haemorrhaging points as i battle to keep my team in the battle.
one of the orions was being driven so poorly in the is match he continues to chase other players round the island when he could have just defended b

i decide it may be best to capture C as well and try and win on points. i capture C and move back towards B.
to defend from 3 incoming battleships.

i hide behind the island and drop torps at the first orion, he obviously was preoccupied by the our orion. they both die and the scores are really close with the timer ticking right down.
i drop a final salvo of torps and sink a second orion trying to capture our base.
