Clemson 10 Kills DOUBLE KRAKEN. 27 Torp Hits!

Double Kraken! 10 kills in a Tier III/IV battle. Killed 3 DDs early which made rest of match easier. While I killed the carrier I did not try so hard since I figured that my team would clean up rest but then that didn't happen and I was compelled to further action. Some patience involved hunting good BB near end who ended up oddly just steaming ahead into torps. I didn't have to kill the bot at end to win, but wanted to to make it 10 - wouldn't you? Slightly unlucky to have been killed by him, but also in fairness I was also lucky to kill him too with almost no time left on game clock. To get 10, a little luck is needed AND a good enemy - because if enemy is very weak, you win on points too soon--happened too me so many times before! But I was also somewhat unlucky a few times so given that it was 10, I would not say my luck was very good but not great or better--for example, I took more than expected damage from carrier and a few DDs didn't die on first torp hit.

I think I had 9 kills 2 or 3 times before, so nice to finally get 10. I was more surprised how little smart resistance DD and BB gave at end before final bot cruiser. In addition to the 10 kills, I had a few thousand damage on one more cruiser. 11 would have been nice.. maybe some day! I can't say this was the best match ever, but the video is worth watching. Near the very end I sail into an island because I am trying to make use of the very very last bit of smoke to shield myself from the DD. The DD had an open window to kill me which he missed, probably because was distracted.

I pretty much only play clemson and I rarely use the gun. Honestly, I find gun combat in WoWs boring. I simply will always choose the ship with the most torp shots possible and that is a ranked-up clemson. I did a few times in this game, mostly to finish off ships. You should remember that if you use the gun, you give away your position at a further range. This didn't play much a role in this one. To understand my strategy, you had to know that my torps have a 5km range and I am visible at about 6.3km. Unusually for such a high kill count, there were no double strikes -- I think I got 3 double strikes a few times in one match. Not that I care too much about medals, but if Wow had triple, quadruple, etc strike medal it would be cool, as well as of course DOUBLE KRAKEN :).
