It's been a while since the last time Shimakaze broke through the 3k BXP threshold (/replay/148748), although there have been some close calls (see /replay/205343 for example, where she took the "Queen of Spotters" title from Taiho).
Northern spawn at middle, I operated mainly around mid-west, with the red Jäger first and then Marceau later on keeping me radiolocated. I also made the mistake of not turning off my AA, which gave my position away to the pushing Friedrich der Große, who promptly activated his hydro. Well, a missed opportunity.
There's one player I feel sorry for, though, which is the red Gearing. The guy simply wasn't lucky on this match: first I stole the initial healing buff at middle right in front of his nose, then he was sunk by a torpedo launched at extreme range against their Ohio. The latter I suspect was too focused in dealing with our Balao, because he ate four of them from the same spread in spite of the ample early warning from Gearing's sinking.
